411 Publishing Co. has announced the promotion of Sean Killebrew to publisher of the 411 Publishing Group. Killebrew will be responsible for the production and distribution of print directories, LA 411 and New York 411, their respective Web properties, LA411.com and NewYork411.com, as well as head the development and forthcoming launch of a new national online directory.
Previously associate publisher, Killebrew’s role will shift away from sales and into business development, specifically as it relates to the launch of the new online platform, but says that he will continue to manage the 411 sales staff.
“I plan to re-connect with our advertisers,” says Killebrew. “The majority of them are small, owner-operated businesses and many of them spend their entire advertising budget with LA and NY 411. My goal is to ensure a strong return on investment for each and every one of them. I also plan to make this a highly collaborative enterprise. I have an extremely competent and capable staff and I’ll be implementing the best of their ideas moving forward.”
In November of 2000, Killebrew was hired as an account representative for the 411 Publishing Group. After being promoted to senior account representative, Killebrew was credited with the launch of High Def 411. His role at 411 Publishing continued to grow when he was tapped advertising director in 2004. Most recently, Killebrew served as associate publisher.
Prior to his career with 411 Publishing, Killebrew served as a project manager at WeddingChannel.com, where he oversaw the production of the Local Resources section of the Web site.
Killebrew is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles.
