Mayor Bloomberg Honors NYC Industry Members with ‘Made In NY’ Awards
by Dena Seif

Actress and producer Tina Fey of “30 Rock” and commercial director Kevin Breslin were among the six feted by Mayor Michael Bloomberg at the second annual “Made in NY” awards June 11 at Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Terminal.

Among the others awarded were HDNet co-founders Joana Vicente and Jason Kliot and The New Victory Theater. In addition, as part of the ongoing efforts of the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting (MOFTB) to increase diversity in the entertainment industry, the Mayor presented the inaugural Diversity Award to Black Filmmaker Foundation President Warrington Hudlin.

The “Made in NY” program offers tax credits and marketing assistance to productions that complete at least 75% of their work in New York City.
