VFX company A52 recently explained the challenges involved when
creating a realistic-looking whale that devours a bikini-clad ocean swimmer for
a recent Helio commercial that was directed by Napoleon Dynamite director Jared
Hess (Moxie). The company was additionally confronted with the task of color
correcting the water of an Olympic swimming pool, where it was filmed, to look
like ocean water while keeping the actors from looking unclear.
