Postworks Provides Post Work for First HD Broadcast of Ironman Competition

New York post facility Postworks recently provided the high def and finishing services for the Ford Ironman World Championship. The NBC broadcast, which aired Dec. 9, was the first Ironman that was done in HD.

Commercial Show Call for Entries
The Association of Independent Commercial Producers’ annual call for entries will begin Jan. 8 on their Web site. The 16th Annual AICP Show, The Art & Technique of the American Commercial, will take place next June at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. A52 Explains VFX for Jared Hess Spot
VFX company A52 recently explained the challenges involved when creating a realistic-looking whale that devours a bikini-clad ocean swimmer for a recent Helio commercial that was directed by Napoleon Dynamite director Jared Hess (Moxie). The company was additionally confronted with the task of color correcting the water of an Olympic swimming pool, where it was filmed, to look like ocean water while keeping the actors from looking unclear.
