411 Update Brought To You by Thelot.com

New Instructions for Listing Updates for New York 411

New York 411 Deadlines

  • Deadline for all updates: January 29, 2007

  • Deadline for new applications: February 2, 2007

It is now officially update season for New York 411. Remember that you must respond to our yearly update sheets in order to remain in the book, even if your listing has no changes. (There is no charge to update your listing.)

This year the update process has changed to an online system. Listees are now required to update by finding their listing online at www.newyork411.com.

Directions for online updates

1.  Find your listing on www.newyork411.com

2.  Click on that listing

3.  Click on the “update listing” button found on the upper right of your listing page.

4.  Read the directions on updating your listing.

5.  Find your “update email” at the bottom of the directions. Ensure that it is there and that it is correct.

6.  If it is not there or it’s incorrect, then click the “change email address” button. You will then have to wait several days for your new update e-mail to take effect. An email will be sent to you so that you can continue onto the next step.

7.  If your email address is correct, then click on the “update your listing” button.

8. An email will be sent to you. Check your email. If you do not find it within a few minutes, try checking your spam box or spam filter settings as it may have been blocked.

9. Click on the link within the body of the message. You will now be taken to a page in which you can submit changes. Here you can enter new information for the contact information that you wish to appear in the directory.

Note that changes to personnel, descriptions and equipment can only be submitted to the dialogue box at the bottom. These changes must be submitted for editorial approval.

10. Please be patient. You’re changes will not appear immediately, but rather must be reviewed and manually inputted by our editorial staff. Check back in a couple of weeks to see the changes reflected online.

Agency, TV Studios & Stages

Agency, TV studios and stage updates will be done via mail and fax. Agencies should send copies of their latest rosters so that their clients remain in the book. TV studios and stages will be sent a chart containing the current information we have on file for that company so that they can remain in the stage chart. Contact me with any questions by emailing melinda.mccrady@reedbusiness.com.
