IATSE announced last month that it had reached a tentative
agreement with Comcast Sportsnet Mid-Atlantic regarding broadcast technicians in
DC, Maryland and
Virginia. The agreement follows a
one-day strike that took place on Tuesday, Dec. 19 during a Capitals game
against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The pact covers about 60 technicians who work
on broadcasts of Washington Wizards, Capitals and other regional games for the
broadcasting company. IATSE expects to ratify the agreement by mid-January.
