Arianna Bocco, former acquisitions executive for Miramax and
New Line, has been appointed vice president of acquisitions and production for
IFC Entertainment. According to a statement,
Bocco will be responsible for “identifying and pursuing finished feature films
that support the company’s overall motion picture acquisition strategy of
aggressively growing its theatrical release slate with larger, commercial
films.” She will also be in charge of acquiring 24 films a year for
IFC Entertainment’s day-and-date division,
IFC First Take, as well as “new projects that
contribute to a diverse new production slate.” Bocco’s most recent role was head
of the independent feature packaging division at Gersh Agency.
