NBC Reaches Tentative Agreement With Union

After multiple off-the record conversations, the National Association of Broadcast Employees & Technicians – Communications Workers of America and NBC Universal have arrived at a tentative agreement. The contract would increase wages a total of 9.5 percent over three years. The first increase would go into effect as of July 15, 2006 if membership approves the agreement by Aug. 25. Local chapters affected by the agreement will hold meetings to discuss the proposal. Copies of the document will be provided upon the finalization of the details.
