Howl! Festival 2005

HOWL! '05: 3rd annual celebration of the East Village and its Diaspora, kicks off on Sunday, August 21st, with Murray Hill hosting the Opening Night Party at The Delancey. The seven days after that will feature multiple celebrations of the 50th Anniversary of Ginsberg’s landmark poem HOWL!, our first Hip Hop HOWL!, a resurrection of the Japanese Cultural Festival, a longer, louder Processional from Astor Place to Tompkins Square Park and the installation of the first FEVA historic plaque, marking the spot where the Velvet Underground first flourished.
