Back by popular demand, it's the SMPTE New York Section's Editing Showcase and Exhibition! Come join your colleagues in a concentrated segment of post editing, professionals, users, and buyers. Geared to everyone from CEOs and business owners, vice presidents, directors of engineering, and consultants, to editors, product managers, and sales managers. If you're in editing and post production, and didn't get a chance to go to NAB this year, or even if you did get to NAB, this event is not to be missed!
Last year's Editing Showcase hosted 32 exhibitors and over 500 attendees. This year we're expected to top 40 Exhibitors and 1,000 attendees.

IFP/LA Master Workshop: Introduction to Final Cut Pro
June 3
IFP/LA is offering the opportunity to take an introductory course in Final Cut Pro. The course will include both demonstration and hands-on practice, with time for experimentation with sample material. Topics will include project management, edit sync material, trim sequences, slip and slide editing, audio editing, title creation, and final output to tape or video file. It is required that all participants have basic Macintosh skills to take this intensive course.

AIFA Hollywood Presents A Tribute to Dick Huemer

Animation producer and historian Ray Pointer presents a full retrospective of the career of animator Dick Huemer with special guest, his son Dr. Richard Huemer, Jr.
Screenings of rare cartoons include Huemer's earliest work in the silent era, his work with the Max Fleischer and Charles Mintz Studio, and examples of his career at Disney. Glendale Central Library, Glendale California.

The Texas Filmmakers's Showcase
